Follow up care and management of chronic psychiatric conditions, de-addiction, child and adolescent psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, mood disorders etc.
ii. Inpatient Psychiatry
- Managing patients admitted for acute psychiatric conditions (eg. Psychosis, severe depression/mania)
- Conducting daily rounds, treatment planning and family meetings.
iii. Patient Areas
- Separate Male and Female Wards.
- Isolation/Seclusion rooms.
- Recreation Room/ Duty area.
- Toilets and bathrooms.
iv. Safety Features
- Locked windows.
- Non-breakable furniture.
- No sharp edges or removal parts.
- CCTV monitoring in Corridors.

- Nursing Station.

2. Emergency Psychiatry
- Psychiatric evaluation in the emergency department (ER)
- Managing acute agitation, suicidality, substance intoxication or withdrawal.
3. Consultation-Psychiatry
- Providing psychiatric consultation for patients admitted in other departments ( medicine, surgery, obs-gynae etc.)
- Managing conditions like delirium, adjustment disorders, medically unexplained symptoms.
4. Community Psychiatry
- Mental Health camps in rural areas.
- Awareness campaigns on mental health, suicide prevention, substance use etc.
5. Academic and Educational Services
As part of a teaching institution, we participate in :
- Teaching undergraduate MBBS students (clinical postings, Theory classes, case discussions)
- Participating in CME (Continuing Medical Education)
- Case presentations, Seminars
- Supervising and monitoring junior residents and interns.
